The MEP for Podemos said that it is time for a progressive dictatorship to “be allowed” in Spain to enable mass illegal immigration.

The communist leader of Podemos, Irene Montero, was once again involved in controversy after the viralization of a video on social networks where she endorses a woke dictatorship in Spain, an expression that has been marked in public debate within the European country.

The origin of the controversy lies in a rally held in Zaragoza, where Montero defended the regularization of illegal immigrants and stated that he would like to “sweep this country away from fachas and racists with migrant people”. The phrase, of high political tension, is a clear sign that the Spanish left is not content with letting in hundreds of thousands of illegal African immigrants who harm the lives of Spaniards and are looking for a more radical ideological project

From that moment on, the idea of a woke dictatorship, said by Montero herself, began to circulate to describe an agenda that seeks to impose certain cultural and political values of the left from power. This is in addition to the ideas of “sweeping away” those who think differently in a sign of political intolerance, incompatible with the principles of democratic pluralism. In this framework, the notion of a woke dictatorship appears as an idea to achieve what they perceive as an attempt at cultural hegemony from the left

.

For their part, Montero's defenders argue that his words must be understood in a context of regular political confrontation and that his proposal is limited to expanding rights and promoting social inclusion. However, Podemos' own sayings support anti-democratic ideas and call for normalizing illegal immigration from Africa to

Spain.

Beyond interpretations, the episode reflects the climate of growing polarization in Spain, where every statement by the left increasingly promotes the destruction of Western culture within the country. The figure of Montero, in this sense, has become a symbol of that wider dispute over the political, cultural and social direction of the

country.

Thus, amidst controversial phrases, the concept of the woke dictatorship is installed as a proposal on the part of the communist left in Spain that seeks to destroy both the present and the future of the nation.
