The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that they used nearly 200 combat aircraft in an unprecedented air operation against strategic objectives in Iran, as part of the coordinated military offensive with the United States that hit strategic installations of the regime.
According to the official statement, this is the largest attack mission ever carried out by the Israeli Air Force.
The air offensive focused on missile systems, military infrastructure and defensive complexes located mainly in the west and center of Iranian territory, with the objective of weakening the regime's offensive capabilities and consolidating Israeli air dominance in the region.
The operation was carried out in parallel with the larger attack that also resulted in the elimination of senior Iranian military commanders and the destruction of strategic positions.

In their official statement, Israeli forces detailed the magnitude of the deployment and the scope of the mission: “Air Force aircraft launched hundreds of munitions on approximately 500 targets, including defense systems and missile launchers in various areas of
Iran.”
They added: “The attack on defense systems made it possible to expand air superiority in Iranian skies and seriously damage the regime's main offensive capability: the launch bases in western Iran.”
The attack is part of the military operation launched simultaneously with Washington, which the Pentagon called “Operation Epic Fury” and which Israel is carrying out under the name “Operation Roaring Lion”.
