Lautaro Martínez once again impressed Racing fans with a confession that did not go unnoticed: his desire to return to the club where he trained and made his professional debut. The striker of the Argentine national team, now a figure and captain of Inter, assured that he dreams of returning to Avellaneda, although he has not yet defined
a date.
“It's my wish, I'm trying to convince my wife. She benches me,” said the world champion in an interview for the podcast Lo del Pollo, suggesting that the decision also depends on several issues. “Obviously, then it depends on a lot of things,” he said, adding: “I still have a contract and I would like to remain in the soccer elite for a long time.”
Despite that present, the emotional bond with the Academy remains intact. “My dream is to play in Racing again, at least a year,” said the 28-year-old forward. “I would likemy children to see the love that the people of Racing have for me,” he concluded.
