Nicolás Paz has once again become news in the midst of the 2026 World Cup. While the Argentine National Teamfinalizes details for its upcoming match against Jordan, the young midfielder received a key update regarding his future: Real Madrid decided to execute the buyback clause with Como 1907.
The news was reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano, who stated: "Real Madrid officially informs Como that they are activating the buyback clause of 9 million euros for Nico Paz. Nico returns and the club gives Como the opportunity to buy him for 60 million euros from now until Monday. Otherwise, next week Nico will be back at Real Madrid and back on the market for MORE than 60 million euros".
The operation, valued at nine million euros, had been contemplated since the moment the Spanish club transferred the player to the Italian team in 2024.
