Coral Energía inaugurated the Coral San Pedro Solar Park, located in the Calingasta department, San Juan, following an investment of US$5 million aimed at expanding renewable generation infrastructure in the province.

The plant has an installed capacity of 6.3 MWp and will have an estimated annual generation of approximately 15,000 MWh, a volume equivalent to the electricity consumption of about 3,000 families, according to the company belonging to the Corven Group.

Additionally, the project will prevent the emission of more than 4,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year and represents Coral Energía's entry into San Juan territory.

The launch was formalized during a meeting between the governor of San Juan, Marcelo Orrego, and the president of the Corven Group, Leandro Iraola, while in Calingasta the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony was held with company authorities, the Provincial State Society Entity, and the municipality.

During the inauguration, Iraola emphasized that the initiative is part of the group's expansion strategy and noted that the company maintains a long-term perspective on its energy investments.

"We are very happy to be launching our first park in San Juan, a province with a great present and an even better future", said the businessman, who also expressed his expectation that the initiative will be "the first of many Coral Energía projects in the province".

For his part, Orrego highlighted that the new plant adds to the 21 solar parks already operating in San Juan and emphasized the impact of the project on the provincial energy infrastructure.

The governor also focused on the hiring of local workers during construction. He detailed that 99.9% of the people who participated in the works were from San Juan and 80% were from Calingasta.

The Coral San Pedro Solar Park is part of a broader portfolio of solar generation and energy storage projects that Coral Energía is developing in various provinces across the country.

According to the company, it currently maintains over US$220 million in committed investments, as part of a strategy aimed at increasing its share within the Argentine energy market.
