The successful series was once again at the center of the controversy, but this time not because of its violence or explicit scenes, but because of the religious content that generated restrictions in different territories.

The series The Boys once again generated controversy at a global level. This time, the last episode of its new season was censored in several countries, although not because of the violent or sexual scenes that characterize fiction, but because of its content linked to

religion.

The fact caught the attention of fans, as the production always stood out for its provocative and unfiltered tone. However, this time, the cuts pointed to certain dialogues and moments that question religious beliefs,

particularly Christianity.

What scenes

were censored?

One of the most talked about cases occurred in India, where the broadcast of the episode was modified due to local regulations. There, parts of a scene were deleted or silenced in which the character of Sister Sage —played by Susan Heyward— questions

the Christian faith of another character.

In the original version, the scene included a direct and critical response to religion. However, in the international edition, certain words were deleted and replaced by silences or

incomplete captions.

But it wasn't the only moment affected. In another part of the episode, a scene was also censored in which the character Homelander —played by Antony Starr— rejects the concept of “prophet” and throws out a phrase that was also cut

out in some versions.

In addition, users detected that a religious image was blurred on the screen, reinforcing the idea that the modifications were aimed at avoiding conflicts

with certain beliefs.

The creator of the series, Eric Kripke, referred to the situation and admitted that he had no room for decision. “I reluctantly agreed, because I had no other option,” he explained in an interview. He also noted that he tried to find alternatives with the editing team, but that local regulations ended up being imposed

.

Kripke added that these types of situations are part of the challenges of producing content for a global audience: “It's one of the inevitable drawbacks of having an international series.”

The censorship decisions generated a strong debate among fans of the series. In forums and social networks, many users questioned the logic of cutting out religious scenes while maintaining extremely violent or explicit content
