In Another Lost Day, the host mentioned that the videos of extreme constructions might not be as handcrafted as they seem. Meanwhile, the magician responded with humor.

In Another Lost Day, they were discussing Natalia Oreiro's collection of toilets and her taste for ancient architecture and period houses. Mario Pergolini steered the conversation towards another type of construction: those that go viral on social media and show supposed artisans building houses, pools, and hot tubs in the middle of the jungle with minimal tools.

However, the host questioned the authenticity of those videos and revealed that there would be much more production behind those scenes than what is seen on screen. The intervention sparked a funny reaction from Agustín “Soy Rada” Aristarán, who confessed to feeling betrayed by the revelation.

The comment came amidst a relaxed tone, typical of the late-night show that Pergolini hosts on eltrece. “You see those guys who with two sticks of cane in the middle of the jungle build amazing houses, the other day I saw it was a lie”, the host exclaimed. Natalia Oreiro quickly joined in the fun and responded: “Well, yes, someone films it,” highlighting the obvious fact that behind every viral scene there is, at the very least, a camera and a staging.

Pergolini, however, went beyond the basic suspicion. “No, but it seems like it was much bigger and they have machines for everything, I want to die”, he added. The phrase pointed to one of the most repeated traps of viral content: the illusion that everything happens in an artisanal, spontaneous, and almost primitive way, when in reality there may be teams, machinery, and editing behind the scenes.

Soy Rada's Reaction

The revelation particularly affected Agustín “Soy Rada” Aristarán, who came on stage to share how he reacted when Pergolini told him. “Yes, when he told me, I got mad at Mario, I didn’t talk to him for a week, I said ‘why do you tell me that?’”, the comedian confessed. The anger, clearly exaggerated in a humorous tone, worked because many viewers recognize themselves in that fascination for impossible construction videos in nature.

Rada explained that he was a devoted consumer of that type of content. “I spend whole hours watching the Indian with a little tool, making a hot tub in the middle of the jungle”, he said. The image summarizes the charm of those clips: a person seemingly alone, with precarious instruments, transforming earth, mud, cane, and stone into a monumental work.

Pergolini accompanied the scene with another observation about the implausibility of the format. “Besides, he’s squatting for 40 minutes like that and made a pool, how did he do it?”, he asked, pointing out the gap between the effort shown and the final result. The humor of the exchange lay in exposing something that many suspect, but prefer not to look too closely at in order not to ruin the experience.

The punchline was left to Rada. “He has an excavator, he told me, what a bro that Mario is!”, he concluded.
