How the investigation into Clorquim began
The investigation began after a query received by the Household Products Service, which raised doubts about the legitimacy of products whose packaging bore the inscriptions “Chlorine for your pool. Clorquim” and “Concentrated bleach. Classic. Clorquim”.
After the corresponding verifications, the ANMAT confirmed that the items were not registered and that there was also no authorized establishment to manufacture or market them. The health authority of the province of Buenos Aires also had no records of the products.

The agency sent a notification to the address provided by the brand at Avenida Presidente Arturo Illia 2100, in Bella Vista, San Miguel district, but also received no response.
The ANMAT indicated that it could not determine with certainty who was behind Clorquim, as it could not identify a natural or legal person, business name, corporate type, or responsible CUIT.
