The Argentine National Team will seek to conquer the world championship for the second time when they face Spain in the final of the 2026 World Cup, a match that will take place at MetLife Stadium and will capture the attention of the football world.

As has been the case throughout the tournament, Lionel Scaloni avoided repeating the same team from one match to another, a characteristic that also marked the path to victory in Qatar 2022. This time, the coach has two uncertainties before confirming the starting lineup.

The main uncertainty lies in the right back position. Nahuel Molina was a starter in the last matches of the Albiceleste, although in all of them he ended up being replaced by Gonzalo Montiel during the second half.

The coaching staff has not yet decided who will occupy that position from the start, a decision that could influence the tactical development of the team against the Spanish side.

The second doubt concerns a position that can modify both the functioning and the offensive characteristics of the National Team.

The candidates are Rodrigo De Paul, Giuliano Simeone, and Nicolás González. De Paul appears to be the main favorite due to his experience and regular presence in the starting eleven, although Simeone has been gaining important minutes in recent matches and González continues to be a valued alternative for his work rate and ability to perform in different areas of the field.
