In another example of the livestock boom under President Javier Milei's administration, which eliminated obstacles to exports and that encouraged production, the treasury continues to show firm prices.

The livestock plaza of the Sociedad Rural de Jesús María, north of Córdoba, worked with values that showed improvements compared to its previous round of operations, both in terms of consumption and for wintering.

Specifically, in the fat segment, light bulls rose $150 and reached a maximum of $5,050, representing an increase of 3% in their values.

The intermediate category had an increase of $40 and sold for $4,900. While the heaviest ones rose $200 and were sold at $4,900, bringing the increase to 4.25%

In parallel, the females also walked on positive terrain. The heifer rose $100 and the good cow $140 to be marketed at $4,800 and $3,500 respectively. Meanwhile, the bulls remained at

$3,500.

As for the wintering segment, light calves rose by $50 and were auctioned to $7,050, which meant an increase of 0.71% in price. The intermediate category was maintained at $6,700, while the heaviest ones resigned $300 and were sold at $5,500 per

kilo alive.

“Great shot this Monday, a great shot. With very good values for wintering, there was a lot of wintering. On the other hand, there was little cash flow, so the values reflected the scarcity of supply,” summarized Pedro Pérez, who was in charge of lowering the hammer during the auction

.

In this regard, some 1,850 cattle, between 400 fat and 1,450 wintering animals, were on the trail of Rural de Jesús María, and these were the prices that were established in the first livestock auction in the month of May.
