Now, far from hiding his feelings, the former player decided to speak publicly about the relationship and surprised everyone by revealing how his closest circle reacted when they learned he was dating a trans woman.
Invited to Random, the show hosted by Leo Montero, the ex-footballer was candid in recalling how the connection with Danelik was born within the reality show and how both decided to handle themselves in front of the cameras.
“With Danelik, our relationship inside was: ‘let's be happy, let's be good. If we see that it complicates the game, we'll step back from one side or the other’,” the media figure explained.
“I don't care what others say. We need to change that. We need to change people's mentality, those prejudices they have of: ‘oh no, but how can you date a trans girl?’ The truth is I didn't stop to think about that,” he expressed.
“It was about feeling good, feeling cared for... besides, she's beautiful. They say: ‘it wasn't genuine, it was a play’. Man, how emotionally unwell people are in love, that they can't think through love. That really holds society back a lot”, he reflected.
