Consumers paying for artificial intelligence tools are increasingly opting for Claude, the model developed by Anthropic. This is revealed by transaction analysis data from the firm Indagari, which shows a clear growth trend for this option.
This evolution indicates that Anthropic has a broader and more solid customer base than is often thought, surpassing the image that it is mainly limited to developers from companies and startups using Claude for coding.
Data Analysis and Trends
Indagari reviews billions of anonymized transactions from about 28 million consumers in the United States. While it does not provide absolute figures for revenue or total users, the volume is sufficient to detect clear patterns. In the case of Claude, the curve consistently points upward.

The analyzed data covers weekly transactions from 2025 to May 2026, including subscriptions and API tokens. They show that both the number of paying consumers and Claude's revenue grew month over month, reaching an increase of around 75% since January 2026 in this segment.
Notably, this momentum was maintained even after March, when Anthropic rejected allowing the use of its models by the Trump administration for mass surveillance of Americans and autonomous weapons, a fact that generated public attention.
Explosive Interest in Educational Platforms
Another strong indicator comes from DataCamp, an online education platform with around 20 million users that teaches AI skills to both individuals and employees of companies. Interest in Claude among DataCamp consumers skyrocketed since the beginning of the year.

“Claude” became the most searched term on the site, even surpassing “AI” in general. Among users learning on their own, the demand for courses on Claude exceeds that of ChatGPT by a ratio of three to one. Additionally, in the last 30 days, the demand for courses on Claude increased 18 times.
