The Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) from the Finance Research Center at Torcuato Di Tella University rose 6.41% in June, reaching 42.71 points.
This is the largest monthly jump of the year and covers all dimensions of the index: personal situation, macroeconomic outlook, and willingness to purchase durable goods.
Nearly 20% recovery since the low in January 2024
When Milei took office and implemented the stabilization plan, confidence hit a low of 35.60 points in January 2024. Since that minimum, the index has accumulated a rise of 19.97%.
The adjustment was painful, but Argentine consumers themselves now recognize that it was the starting point of a genuine recovery.

By regions, the surprise comes from Greater Buenos Aires, historically resistant to the libertarian program: it rose 10.01% in just one month, the largest regional increase. That the Buenos Aires conurbano shows the highest monthly optimism demonstrates that economic improvement is reaching popular sectors, not just Milei's traditional voters.

Another fact that dismantles the opposition narrative: low-income households rose 7.16%, surpassing the increase of high-income households (+5.34%).

In June, Present Conditions grew 8.77%, more than Future Expectations (+4.85%). When what the consumer is already experiencing today improves more than what they expect for tomorrow, the economy is in real expansion. Argentines are not betting on the future: they are already feeling the results.
