The Cordoba Football League withdrew its support from Pablo Toviggino in the Federal Football Council, following a reprehensible decision made by the organization.
The Cordoba institution denounced a "violation of its autonomy" by the body led by Toviggino, after he arbitrarily decided to grant a permit to the Argentino Peñarol Club to compete in the Amateur Regional Tournament without earning it through sporting merit.
In this context, Emeterio Farías formally submitted his irrevocable resignation as full member of the organization through a letter addressed to the president of the Federal Council, Pablo Toviggino.

In his presentation, Farías explained that the main reason for his departure is that the "authority and autonomy of the Cordoba Football League have been violated", principles that must be guaranteed by the Federal Council itself.
According to his message, the benefiting club did not meet the necessary sporting requirements to access the competition, and the League had already resolved not to include it, a decision that was ignored by the national leadership.
The now former leader also emphasized that this direct intervention implies a disregard for the federative structure of Argentine football, in which regional leagues play a central role. In this regard, he cited various articles from the General Regulations of the Federal Council to support his position.

The violated articles
Among them, he mentioned articles 1 and 4, which establish that football in the interior is organized through affiliated leagues, which have "broad autonomy" in their jurisdictions. The unilateral decision to invite a club without the endorsement of the “mother League” breaks that institutional framework.
He also referred to article 12, which stipulates that all communication between clubs and the Federal Council must be channeled through the corresponding league. In this case, he argued that acting directly weakened the organizational structure. He also cited article 2, related to respect and institutional discipline.
Emeterio Farías, a historic leader of the Cordoba League, submitted his resignation to the Federal Council through a statement where he asserts that "accepting this imposition would set a dangerous precedent for all the Leagues in the country, where sporting merit would be subordinated to external administrative decisions".
The decision is even more significant considering that Farías has been one of the main defenders of the management of Claudio Tapia and Toviggino himself within the Argentine Football Association.
However, his role as a historic reference of the Cordoba League led him to distance himself from a measure that undermines the local institution.
In the final part of his letter, the leader reaffirmed his stance and explained that he cannot continue in his role in a context where "jurisdictional autonomy is nothing more than a theoretical expression". At the same time, he reaffirmed his commitment to the Cordoba Football League and his respect for the institutional integrity of football in the interior.
