Edith Hermida stepped down from El Club del Moro, the show hosted by Santiago del Moro on La 100. The news was announced this Wednesday and marks the end of a stage that began in January 2024.

Guillermo Barrios was the one who anticipated the move: the journalist will say goodbye this Friday, September 18. The main reason is her participation in MasterChef Celebrity, where she was called among the 24 participants of the reality show.

The recordings of the culinary contest start on September 17. This scheduling conflict forced Hermida to make a choice. Waking up early every day for the radio no longer fit with her new commitment.

Laura Ubfal added details from her site. She explained that it was not an easy decision, but that the door is always open for a possible return. The host of Bendita prioritized the reality show and her other projects.

How Edith Hermida's schedule looks now

From now on, Hermida's mornings will be occupied by the recordings of MasterChef Celebrity for the next few months. In the evenings, however, she maintains her spot on Bendita, the El Nueve program that she hosts from Monday to Friday between 8:30 PM and 10:00 PM.

This double schedule was incompatible with the radio program. The journalist chose to focus on television and the reality show, where she will have a leading role alongside other well-known faces.

The announcement generated excitement among the audience of La 100. El Club del Moro had been consolidating as a morning space with Hermida's regular presence, which added her style and perspective from the entertainment world.

Those who closely follow the radio industry point out that the void she leaves is significant. Her departure forces a reorganization of the team and the search for a figure who can attract a similar audience.

Who could take her place

Although Santiago del Moro has not yet officially confirmed the name, Laura Ubfal reported that Catherine Fulop appears to be the most likely replacement. According to this version, the actress and host would be available one or two times a week.

Fulop already has experience in the media and knows the rhythm of morning shows. Her potential arrival would help maintain the program's dynamic without a sudden change in tone.
