At 39 years old, the captain of the Argentinian National Team was once again one of the great protagonists of a World Cup. His eight goals and four assists were crucial for Lionel Scaloni's team to reach a new final, while the Manchester United defender established himself as one of the most consistent pieces of the back line, although he suffered an injury in the decisive match against Spain.
For its part, the new world champion was the team with the most representation in the eleven, with three players: full-backs Pedro Porro and Marc Cucurella, in addition to Rodri, who also received the Ballon d'Or as the best player of the tournament.
