The Head of Government referred to the desire to see La Máxima in the country and detailed how the works are progressing in Galvez to host it in the future
During Franco Colapinto's historic Road Show, Jorge Macri made a strong statement about the future of Formula 1 in thecountry. The Buenos Aires head of government confirmed that the City of Buenos Aires is actively working to recover a date of the Maximum, driven by the phenomenon of the Argentine pilot and his exhibition this afternoon on the streets of Palermo

“We want to bring Formula 1 and we are getting ready,” he said in a dialogue with ESPN, where he remarked that the event was a key showcase for showing local potential. “It was a great job by all of us. Also from the neighbors, who are Libertador frontists and were patient. This is a great opportunity to show the FIA and the people of Formula 1 the passion there is for iron in Argentina,” he
said.
“Today here there are people from Uruguay, from Brazil, from Chile, people who came from the interior of Argentina.This generates consumption, tourism and also few people in the world and in Argentina itself know that this is the second most popular sport in the country,” he added

In this context, he explained that the works at the Autódromo Oscar and Juan Gálvez were already designed to meet international standards. “The track will be ready for Formula 1. We made the decision not only to prepare the circuit for the Moto GP, butwe applied the full investment to Formula 1,” he explained

Finally, Macri made it clear that the City will compete with other destinations to keep a date on the calendar: “We are investing a lot in that andwe are lighting the candles to beat other cities to have a date in the City of Buenos Aires. We haven't had Formula 1 for 28 years and we hope we don't have to reach 30. That way we can get a date before that.
