"President Milei! What a pleasure to meet you!", she expressed at the beginning, adding: "I enjoyed meeting you so much, we have so many mutual friends. An honor to have you in Peru".

For his part, Milei responded to the gesture by stating: "It is an honor to have been invited". In the same context, the new president greeted Karina Milei and introduced the appointed chancellor of Peru, Carlos Espá, while the Argentine president did the same with his chancellor, Pablo Quirno.

Fujimori's meetings with right-wing leaders

This meeting is part of a broader agenda of meetings that the President of Peru held at the Foreign Ministry, in Torre Tagle, with right-wing leaders and representatives from various countries in the region. In this context, Fujimori advanced in strengthening diplomatic ties and cooperation in strategic areas.

During that day, the head of state received Javier Milei, with whom she highlighted the historical ties between Argentina and Peru and the need to deepen cooperation in areas such as the economy, security, science, technology, and innovation.

She also held meetings with the President of Bolivia, Rodrigo Paz, with whom she emphasized the bicentennial of diplomatic relations in 2026 and the potential for cooperation between neighboring countries.

Additionally, she met with the President of Honduras, Tito Asfura, where the recent boost in bilateral dialogue and the exchange of experiences in port matters were valued. In the case of Ecuador, the meeting with Daniel Noboa reaffirmed the strategic priority of the bilateral relationship since the 1998 Brasilia Peace Agreements, focusing on security and the fight against organized crime.

The agenda also included a meeting with Chilean President José Antonio Kast, where common challenges such as organized crime, natural disasters, transportation, and reforestation were addressed. With Paraguay, through the meeting with Santiago Peña, historical ties were renewed, and progress was made on regional integration and citizen security issues.

Finally, Fujimori received a Colombian delegation led by the elected Vice President José Manuel Restrepo, representing the elected President Abelardo de la Espriella, where they agreed to strengthen the bilateral relationship and advance in the appointment of ambassadors.
