The Lionesses made history once again, and one of the people who celebrated the victory the most was Luciana Aymar. The historic former captain of the Argentine National Team was in the stands of the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands, and ended up visibly emotional after the victory of the team led by Fernando Ferrara.
Aymar watched the final from the stands alongside officials and former teammates. The match had a dramatic conclusion: Argentina and the Netherlands tied 1-1 during regulation time and the world title had to be decided by penalties.
The Lionesses came back and forced penalties
