Host Alejandro Marley suffered a strong blow to the head while he was in a store and had to be assisted immediately. According to his own account on social media, the incident occurred in a bakery, where he ran into a ladder and started bleeding.
In a video he uploaded to Instagram, Marley explained in his usual carefree tone how the accident happened. “I can't believe how stupid I am. I ran into a ladder in a store, in a bakery. Luckily, the people there helped me. Now I'm going to the hospital to get it stitched up. This is the 20th blow to the head in my entire life,” he said in front of the camera.
The host did not hide his surprise at what had just happened to him and tried to downplay the situation. He thanked those who were there for their help and confirmed that he was heading to a medical center to receive the necessary stitches for the wound.
Later in the same post, Marley added a reflection with dark humor and recalled that these types of episodes are not new in his life. “And I hit my head once again. Last year in China, now here, it's an average of one blow per year. Award for the idiot of the year and I want to dedicate it to the beam I didn't see,” he added.
The incident in China during the filming of Por el Mundo
The most recent accident revived the memory of another similar blow that the host suffered while filming an episode of Por el Mundo in China, accompanied by model Karina Jelinek. On that occasion, the team entered a cave to tell the story of the place.
Marley, due to his height, hit his head on a stalactite while providing information in front of the camera. The wound started bleeding immediately, and Jelinek requested that the recording be stopped. Local doctors assisted him with native medicine and managed to prevent him from needing stitches in the area.
