According to various Turkish media reports, Beşiktaş has begun efforts to sign Mauro Icardi, who is considering the possibility of staying in the football of that country after his departure from Galatasaray.

Reports indicate that the forward has expressed his interest in joining the black-and-white team with the aim of starting a new sporting chapter and leaving behind the troubled end of his cycle with the red-and-yellow team.

The possibility of Icardi switching sides has not gone unnoticed. The historic rivalry between Galatasaray and Beşiktaş makes any transfer between the two clubs a matter of high impact for Turkish football.

Although there is still no official agreement, the news has already sparked an intense debate among fans and local media, who are closely following the future of the Argentine striker.

According to Turkish press, the relationship between Icardi and Galatasaray has deteriorated in recent months. The player is said to be dissatisfied with the way his departure was handled and has differences with members of the management and coaching staff.

One of the most striking aspects was that the Rosario native did not post a farewell message to the club or the fans, despite the excellent relationship he had built with the supporters during the seasons he defended that jersey.
