Nacho Levy played the victim after the allegations: “I tried to work with medication and therapy”

Nacho Levy did not dare to show his face and broke the silence on social media after the public accusations made by Cecilia Ce and other ex-partners, acknowledging that he exercised “psychological violence” and had “toxic relationships.” The feminist figure of La Garganta Poderosa published a statement on Instagram, days after being removed from the social organization that had him as one of its main leaders for years.

“I need to apologize to those who have suffered alongside me from the emotional dynamics that I tried to work on with medication and therapy. Psychological violence, which is not seen from the inside,” Levy wrote in his stories. In the same message, he sought to set a boundary regarding the publicly circulated accusations and stated that “it is not about blows, nor legal complaints, nor the absurdities that some media have published.”

The Kirchnerist declared that his words do not repair the damage caused. “I know that it cannot be repaired with words and that whatever I say will be used against me,” he noted. However, he maintained that he did not want to “choke” on the need to apologize to people who, he said, were and will be “very valuable” to him, seeking to generate empathy among his accusers.

Cecilia Ce had exposed situations of control, harassment, and emotional wear during her relationship with Levy. Other accounts followed, including that of journalist Sofía Monachelli, who claimed that she had a relationship with him when she was 18 years old and that, after separating, she had to change her phone number due to the number of calls and messages she received.

In his post, Levy acknowledged that he minimized having created “toxic relationships” and having been a protagonist of practices that, according to his own words, “the activism has been reviewing and transforming.” He emphasized that he does not intend to “splash anyone” or dilute personal accusations into general patterns, although he maintained that his obligation now is solely to work on himself.

“I am facing tough hours as you can imagine and starting today to deepen an intense treatment for my mental health, which will be the priority of my days,” he expressed. In another part of the statement, he added that his commitment will be “to personal repair,” to eventually also contribute to a “collective repair.”
