A free event titled “Rosalía in Concert - Symphonic Ensemble,” which was set to take place in the city of Córdoba, has been definitively canceled following the controversy generated on social media after she participated in the anti-Argentina campaign and mocked the country.
The decision was made by municipal authorities along with the event organizers, who prioritized the safety of local artists amid the tense climate that has emerged in recent days.
The concert, which proposed a fusion of flamenco, pop, and electronic music in a symphonic format, was scheduled for this Thursday at the esplanade of the Metropolitan Museum of Urban Art (MMAU), located in Plaza España.

According to reports, the cancellation is directly related to the strong rejection and threats that began circulating on digital platforms, raising alarms about the event's security. In this context, it was decided to suspend the presentation to avoid possible incidents.
The conflict originated from a reprehensible action by Spanish singer Rosalía on social media. The artist reposted on TikTok a video of Mia Khalifa celebrating the defeat of the Argentine National Team in the final of the 2026 World Cup. The content was set to the song “La perla,” one of Rosalía's own tracks.
The use of that song generated discomfort, as its title is used in a derogatory manner to refer to untrustworthy or shameless people, which represented a direct mockery of Argentina. From there, criticism and condemnation on social media multiplied, especially in Córdoba and other cities across the country.

In light of the clear negative repercussions, Rosalía deleted the post and shared an apology message in her Instagram stories. In that statement, she claimed that she "had not realized" the offensive content of the video at the time of sharing it and that she did it "unintentionally." However, her fans' anger did not subside.
The impact of the episode also affected her upcoming commitments in the country. The official shows scheduled for August at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires began to be impacted by campaigns led by users promoting a boycott and ticket refunds.
In Córdoba, the cancellation of the symphonic event marks one of the most concrete effects of the controversy, which quickly escalated from social media to physical events.
