Sol became the winner of Big Brother Golden Generation and criticism erupted: "Well-connected"

After months of competition, Big Brother: Golden Generation has come to an end. Solange Abraham became the winner of the edition after defeating Yisela “Yipio” Pintos in a close final showdown, which immediately sparked reactions among the show's followers.

During the gala broadcast this Wednesday, September 16, on Telefe, Santiago del Moro announced that Sol received 51.8% of the votes, out of a reported total of 30 million in the final. Thus, the contestant finally achieved the goal for which she had decided to return to the reality show 15 years after her first experience.

However, her crowning was far from ending the discussions surrounding her time in the house. As soon as the result was known, social media was flooded with messages from users questioning her victory and resurfacing some of the controversies she was involved in during the season. Among the criticisms were accusations of supposed “favoritism.”

Why did Sol's victory generate criticism on social media?

One of the points for which Sol is accused of favoritism is that she did not stay in the house from the beginning. Instead, she returned through the Golden Ticket and then throughout the program had different opportunities that seemed to have been a benefit.

Once the victory was announced, posts began to circulate using expressions like “favored” to refer to the champion. These accusations correspond to opinions from users and former participants and do not constitute evidence that the voting was altered.

One of those who expressed his position was Kenny Palacios, who also participated in this edition.

After Yipio entered the studio following her exit from the house, Palacios shared a video of the moment on X and wrote: “The winner ❤️ without favoritism.”

Additionally, upon entering the studio, thousands of people began to boo her, causing the production to have to escort her with security.

Another version circulating on social media is that the prize was awarded to Sol, as it would otherwise be the third consecutive year that a Uruguayan personality won the prize.
