The new Spider-Man movie grossed nearly US$145 million in North America during its second weekend.
With this result, the production starring Tom Holland has already surpassed US$1.670 billion worldwide.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day achieved the third best second weekend in history in North America.
The film came in behind Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, which grossed US$149.2 million in 2015, and Avengers: Endgame, with US$147.3 million in 2019.
The result came after a record opening of US$360 million. Additionally, Spider-Man joined the group of eight films that surpassed US$100 million during their second weekend.
In North America, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has already accumulated over US$655 million at the box office.
Globally, the film has surpassed US$1.670 billion. Now, the next goal is to reach US$2 billion.

So far, only seven films have managed to surpass that figure in box office history.

In doing so, it surpassed The Dark Knight Rises, which grossed US$1.083 billion in total in 2012.
One Night Only, the romantic comedy starring Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner, debuted with nearly US$5.7 million.

The film reached 3,012 theaters and had a budget of US$25 million.
The precedent of Anyone But You, also directed by Will Gluck, shows a different commercial trajectory. That film grossed US$6 million in its 2023 debut and ended with US$88.3 million in North America and US$220.3 million worldwide.

Meanwhile, Super Troopers 3 landed in fourth place with US$4 million in its opening.
Toy Story 5 took fifth place and added US$3.9 million during its eighth weekend in theaters.
