The State of Play on September 3 presented news for PS5 in two events. The first featured general releases, while the second focused on Japanese and Eastern games.
The main announcement was Final Fantasy VII Revelation, which will arrive on April 8, 2027. There were also updates from Konami, new dates, expansions, PlayStation Plus, and accessories.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation now has a release date
Final Fantasy VII Revelation will arrive on April 8, 2027, for PS5 and will conclude the trilogy of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
The game will feature a massive open world, the Highwind, chocobos that can fight, and the FITS system, with four specializations: Warrior, Knight, Black Mage, and Summoner.
It will also allow instant character switching during exploration, use of a grappling gun, and mission development based on the chosen character. Queen’s Blood will return with a campaign starring Red XIII.

Square Enix announced special editions during the State of Play, including 24 hours of early access for the Premium Edition and two upcoming story-focused DLCs.

Ghost of Yotei will add the survival mode Most Wanted and the expansion Echoes of Sekigahara on October 1.
Most Wanted will feature waves of enemies, bosses, weapons, cosmetic items, and unlockable characters. Echoes of Sekigahara will tell the backstory of Atsu and will add Ezo, enemies, weapons, armor, and cosmetic items.
Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance presented its first major expansion, featuring new monsters, challenges, hunting mechanics, a new location, and another chapter of the story.

The new games presented for PS5
Maneater 2 will arrive in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC. It will feature an open marine world, five genetic modifications, and a story about scientific experiments, corporate greed, and escape.
Hunter's Moon will be a first-person folk horror game, exclusive to PS5. Lilith Thorne must escape from hunters during a night in 17th century rural England.
Uncanyon will arrive in 2027 and will feature puzzles based on Reality Fragments, allowing players to mix realities to modify obstacles, dangers, and paths.

Rhapsody in Scarlet, from Konami, will be an action-adventure set in 1920s New York. Ellie Myers will combine magic, short and long-range attacks, and allied creatures.
Rev. NOiR, developed by ILCA, will be an action RPG. Asch and Finé must stop the Lightfall, a phenomenon threatening to destroy the world.

Crimson Desert presented Charting the Unknown, an expansion that will continue the adventure of Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane through Pywel.
Keeper, from Double Fine, is now available on PS5. PlayStation Plus offers a 20% discount until September 17.
Final Fantasy Resonance, Saros, and Gran Turismo 7
Final Fantasy Resonance now has a free demo on PS5. It allows players to play the first chapter and transfer their save to the full game, featuring HD-2D graphics, turn-based combat, Visions, and the presence of Sephiroth.

Saros will receive the free Zenites update, featuring Overlord Rush, Eclipse Layers, new modes, progression, and accessibility features.
Gran Turismo 7 will have the Spec IV update in October and December. It will add 12 cars, new modes, Sportsland SUGO, Autumn Ring, online drifting, random races, Driving Experiences, and Family Mode.

The new DualSense controllers for GTA 6 and LEGO PlayStation
Sony and Rockstar presented two limited edition DualSense controllers inspired by Grand Theft Auto VI. They will be black and white, with a Vice City aesthetic, and will be available on November 19.
Pre-orders will begin on September 10. The white model represents dawn and beaches, while the black one is inspired by nightlife.
LEGO PlayStation will be a set of 1911 pieces that recreates the original PlayStation and its controller. It will feature functional buttons, a connectable controller, and dioramas of Gran Turismo and Ape Escape.

It will be available on October 1 at PlayStation Direct and for LEGO Insiders. From October 4, it will be available at LEGO.com and LEGO stores.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 opens the State of Play Japan
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 will arrive in 2027 and will allow players to create characters from six races: human, saiyan, namekian, Freezer's race, majin, and android.
It will also allow players to inherit techniques and choose styles inspired by 130 heroes. The story will be set in AGE 1000, with West City as the backdrop.

Fate/EXTRA Record will arrive on PS4 and PS5 on January 28, 2027. It will be a complete remake with an expanded story, renewed graphics, and strategic combat based on decks and commands.
The Eminence in Shadow: Phantom Echoes will arrive in 2027 for PS5, Switch 2, and PC with 3D roguelite action for a single player.

Where the Seeds Fall will arrive on PS5 on November 5. The adventure will take place in a world affected by a plague, where humanity lives in the branches of the World Tree.
