The wave of video game leaks has hit the industry hard again, and now it’s Subnautica 2's turn. Just days before its early access launch, images began circulating that would show the game running on PC ahead of schedule.

The situation comes just days after the cases of Forza Horizon 6 and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, two titles that also appeared playable before their official releases due to still unclear errors.

What was leaked about Subnautica 2

The images began to spread on Reddit after a supposed user streamed gameplay of the game for several hours. Although the material was quickly removed, several users managed to save screenshots and fragments of the stream.

The leaked content shows a tour of an initial area of the underwater map and also part of the graphics menu for the PC version.

Among the visible options are:

  • Resolution and window mode settings

  • Advanced graphics settings

  • Visual scaling options

  • Interface adapted for keyboard and mouse

So far, neither Krafton nor Unknown Worlds have officially confirmed the authenticity of the leaked material.

Just a few days ago, a complete build of Forza Horizon 6 was leaked ahead of time, allowing some users to play the title illegally. The situation escalated to the point that Playground Games began applying permanent hardware bans.

Even one of the affected players received a suspension that, according to the shared screenshots, would extend until the year 10,000.

On the other hand, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight also appeared playable ahead of time due to a supposed error with digital codes distributed at Walmart.

Subnautica 2 will be a new underwater survival adventure developed by the creators of the original saga.

The game will allow players to explore alien biomes, build bases, craft tools, and survive in a vast ocean world filled with unknown creatures.
