Tesla launched a new recall for its Cybertruck, this time focusing on the most accessible versions of the electric pickup. These are all the RWD Long Range units sold so far, a total of 173 vehicles
.The problem lies in the brake rotors, where the bolt holes could crack and allow the bolt to separate from the wheel hub. According to the notification filed with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, this could cause the wheels to come loose under demanding conditions of use
.The car company identified three warranty claims related to this fault, although it clarified that it has no knowledge of crashes, injuries or deaths related to the problem.
The recall covers Cybertrucks worth US$ 70,000 equipped with 18-inch steel wheels. Tesla began marketing this rear-wheel drive model in April of last year, but discontinued it a few months later

To address the issue, the company will replace the front and rear brake rotors, bushings and wheel nuts free of charge in all affected vehicles. Owners should receive notifications soon to coordinate the service
