INDEC data confirm improvements in access to housing, water, education and sanitary conditions.

Living conditions in Argentina registered a significant improvement during 2025, with a positive balance that reached millions of people across the country, thanks to the successful economic plan of the Government of Javier Milei.
According to the latest data released by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC), 7.1 million Argentines experienced improvements in their quality of life, within the framework of economic and social recovery.
The survey, based on 27 indicators that include housing quality, access to basic services, education and habitat, showed that 63% of the variables analyzed showed progress compared to a year earlier. In population terms, this translates into a net improvement of close to two million people when projecting data at the

The results are part of the set of socioeconomic statistics for 2025, which include the evolution of GDP, inflation, employment, poverty and indigence, and reflect a growth scenario accompanied by an improvement in the population's
income.
The data on the improvement In terms of
housing, the data show concrete advances. 81% of households and 77.9% of people live in homes with sufficient quality materials. In addition, the number of people living in precarious buildings fell by 155,500, while 371,700 went on to live in complete housing, consolidating an improvement in the structural
conditions of the habitat.
Another relevant fact is the growth in access to own housing. Compared to the second half of 2024, there was an increase of 1.1 million people who became homeowners, reflecting greater housing stability in large sectors of the population

Advances were also observed in sanitary conditions. Households with adequate sanitation grew steadily, benefiting more than 1,550,000 people. Added to this is an improvement in the urban environment: the population living near landfills fell by 2.6%, while those living in flooded areas decreased by 6%

Regarding access to basic services, the report highlights that 85.9% of the population has running water, reaching 42.4 million people. This represents an increase of 713,000 inhabitants compared to the previous year and marks the highest level in the series. In addition, access to the sewer network also expanded, reaching 33.1 million
people.
At the educational level, there was a growth in the population with complete secondary education within the workforce. A total of 15.4 million people reached this level, representing 63.7% of the total and an increase of 557,600 people compared to the
previous year.
If the comparison is extended to the beginning of the current period of government, the balance is even more favorable. 74% of social indicators showed improvements, involving 35.6 million people across the country

In this way, official data reflect a process of generalized improvement in living conditions, with sustained advances in housing, services, education and the urban environment, consolidating a scenario of social recovery during 2025.
