The unexpected tribute from Lionel Messi to the left-handed Indio Solari during the World Cup

The countdown to the debut of the Argentine National Team in the 2026 World Cup keeps millions of fans on edge, dreaming of seeing Lionel Scaloni's team fight for the ultimate glory in football again. While the squad continues with training and final adjustments before stepping onto the field, Lionel Messi decided to share a glimpse of the team's concentration with a video that quickly went viral on social media.

The Argentine captain posted a series of images reflecting the day-to-day life of the team during their preparation for the tournament. The footage shows various moments of training, physical exercises, talks with teammates, and some more relaxed scenes, always accompanied by the ever-present mate that is typical in the Albiceleste's camps.

However, there was one detail that did not go unnoticed by fans and ended up becoming one of the most commented aspects of the post.

Messi's nod to the left-handed Indio Solari

To provide the soundtrack for the images, Messi chose a song from the repertoire of the left-handed Indio Solari along with Los Fundamentalistas del Aire Acondicionado.

The song was "Encuentro con un ángel amateur," a decision that many interpreted as a new tribute from the footballer to one of the most influential artists in national rock.

The chosen excerpt to accompany the video includes lyrics filled with reflection and melancholy: “I start at the end. I will finish at the beginning. My interests, perhaps, were not healthy. I can no longer achieve the feats I promised. I can only keep singing.”
