Used cars: which brands and models were the best sellers in June 2026

Sales of used cars recorded new growth in June 2026. According to the report from the Association of Automotive Dealers of the Argentine Republic (ACARA), there were 155,753 transfers, with increases both compared to the same month last year and compared to May.

The report also shows which brands and models were the most chosen in the market. Additionally, ACARA has started to officially publish statistics on used vehicle transfers replacing the Automotive Commerce Chamber (CCA).

According to ACARA, during June there were 155,753 transfers of used vehicles.

June 2026: 155,753 operations.
Monthly variation: +8.2% compared to May 2026.
Year-on-year variation: +8.6% compared to June 2025.
Cumulative January-June: 892,696 transfers.
Year-on-year cumulative: -2.9% compared to the same period in 2025.

The best-selling used car brands in June

Volkswagen once again took the top spot among brands with the highest number of transfers, followed by Ford and Renault.

Volkswagen: 26,496 units (17.8%).
Ford: 20,614 (13.9%).
Renault: 18,029 (12.1%).
Chevrolet: 17,827 (12%).
Fiat: 16,272 (11%).
Toyota: 14,814 (10%).
Peugeot: 13,830 (9.3%).

Citroën: 4,755 (3.2%).

Nissan: 2,754 (1.9%).

Honda: 2,425 (1.6%).

What were the best-selling used cars

The Toyota Hilux topped the ranking of the most transferred models during June. The podium was completed by the Volkswagen Gol and the Ford Ranger.

Volkswagen Amarok: 4,006.
Volkswagen Gol Trend: 3,648.
Peugeot 208: 3,460.

ACARA started publishing used market statistics

The June report marked a change in the dissemination of sector data. From this month on, the Association of Automotive Dealers of the Argentine Republic (ACARA) began publishing statistics on used vehicle transfers.

The survey includes information disaggregated by brand, model, and geographic region, in addition to an analysis of the current state of the market.
