Villa Allende is one of the Argentine municipalities noted for implementing modernization and digitalization policies.

The Municipality of Villa Allende, governed by Pablo Cornet, continues to receive praise and distinctions for its work towards efficiency, transparency, and modernization, among other items. A few days ago, it received two recognitions at the annual event organized by the Local Innovation Network (RIL Argentina), an organization that highlights and awards municipal projects and teams for their work in various management areas and recognizes cities that have achieved improvements in services, planning, and public administration.

More than 300 mayors from cities across the country, including Villa Allende, as well as officials and businesspeople, attended the historic Teatro El Círculo in Rosario for the RIL Awards.

The city of Sierras Chicas received the Digital City Seal for its advances in digital transformation and state modernization, and the Seal of Cities for Early Childhood for the policies promoted to strengthen comprehensive support during the early years of life.

The RIL Awards position Villa Allende among the Argentine municipalities recognized for implementing modernization, digitalization, and citizen-oriented management policies, sharing distinctions with cities like Rosario, Escobar, Río Cuarto, and Luján de Cuyo.

"Regarding the Digital City issue, the goal is to eliminate bureaucracy. We are on the path to eliminating paper and are now working on a system change. This change will also be accompanied by a change in the municipality's financial statement presentation, just like private sector companies do. The idea is for us to be evaluated as a private sector company, working with KPIs, indicators, data, and not those data that can be manipulated, but that can be certified and verified," Cornet said.

Regarding the Seal of Cities for Early Childhood, Cornet emphasized: "Villa Allende was a pioneer in this type of program that seeks to provide support to children, so that mothers can leave them there and go to work," he added.

Villa Allende bets on the future of children

Cornet stated that these issues go hand in hand with programs like Digital Creatives so that students can learn robotics and English.

"We want this to happen in all schools, including public ones, always looking to the future. The municipality supports 50% of the cost, and the institution pays the other 50%. I think it's great because if we start providing these contents to children, they will face the world differently in the future. Equalizing upwards and improving all starting points."
