WhatsApp is testing a paid subscription with mainly aesthetic functions. The messaging app is moving forward with a new optional model for users.

As confirmed by TechCrunch, the feature called WhatsApp Plus is being tested in limited markets. The proposal aims more at personalization than at new key tools.

What is WhatsApp Plus and what it includes

The new subscription would allow access to advanced customization options.
