The influencer will be absent for a trip to Paris Fashion Week and Telefe has chosen her mother to take her place on the broadcasts alongside Cachete Sierra
MasterChef Celebrity returned to the screens of Telefe with its new season and, in parallel, the stream react of the reality show hosted by Agustín "Cachete" Sierra and Lola Latorre began. However, the influencer has already confirmed that she will not be able to attend some of the broadcasts because a brand hired her to cover fashion week in Paris.
What surprised most about the news was not Lola's absence, but the channel's choice to cover her spot. Telefe decided that the replacement would be none other than her own mother, Yanina Latorre. The journalist and panelist shared this herself on her radio show, although without much enthusiasm for the proposal.
On air, Yanina made it clear that the commitment generates some resistance for her, especially because of the day and time she will have to show up. "On Thursday, I barely get out of SQP and I stay eating something around, but Sunday?" she questioned. She added: "I hate leaving my house on Sundays, especially if I have to go made up and styled. I don't know what will become of me that day; I have to go out and comment on the show at night and then get up early the next day... I recover well afterward, though. But well, I do it solely for my daughter."
The sacrifice she mentioned makes it clear that she accepted the role more to support Lola than out of her own desire to join the format. Thus, the hosting of the stream react will temporarily be in the hands of Cachete Sierra and Yanina Latorre during the broadcasts when the daughter cannot be present.
The season debut and the first clashes
While this change in the stream was being confirmed, the reality show already premiered its first episode with some tense moments in the kitchen. Elizabeth "La Negra" Vernaci, one of the participants, had a strong clash with the judge Germán Martitegui during the feedback on a dish she had prepared with Josefina "La China" Ansa.
The situation between the two teammates had already generated friction since the recordings. Josefina had explained days earlier that they would never agree because each wanted to impose her idea. That tension was transferred to the air, and Martitegui pointed it out when evaluating the dish: a hake with carrot puree and creamy potato and spinach that Vernaci tried to describe as "a galaxy that has cosmic dust around it."
The chef did not hide his surprise, and the participant shot back: "Put in some effort." She then toned it down with a "Please, chef." Martitegui responded that he had all the best intentions and pointed out that if the team does not work and fights, there cannot be a good dish. Vernaci and Ansa later agreed that the judge was coming "with an old thing" and that they did not want a life lesson, but to learn how to cook.
The peak moment came when Martitegui interrupted Vernaci's explanation with the phrase "This isn't radio, by the way." La Negra did not hide her annoyance, asking "What?" and then insisting with "What's wrong with you, Germán?" The clash went viral immediately and generated comments both in favor of and against both on social media. Meanwhile, the stream react continues its course and will now have Yanina Latorre as a temporary replacement for her daughter.
