Donald Trump stated this Thursday that he will have to make a big decision regarding the war in Iran. The president is torn between renewing massive bombings to annihilate the regime and ending the war. "I have a big decision ahead of me. Do I want to go in and annihilate them or not?", he declared to Axios. "It’s an important decision. With me, anything can happen".

This week, it was revealed that Trump will have meetings with U.S. allies in the Gulf at the upcoming United Nations General Assembly, where the parties will discuss the next steps to take in the conflict. "I want to find out where they are and how they are doing. We have been very protective of them," the president summarized.

The conflict is at a peak of maximum tension due to the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen launching heavy attacks against Saudi Arabia last week, threatening global oil and gas supplies and putting the city of Mecca, a sacred site for Islam, at risk.

On the other hand, Iran has reportedly achieved another hit against U.S. aircraft this week, after the Revolutionary Guard reported that it shot down two unmanned MQ-1 Predator drones in recent days. These weapons are used by the U.S. military to protect the Strait of Hormuz, which is currently under an effective naval blockade ordered by Trump.

Iran has lost control over the Strait of Hormuz in recent months thanks to Trump implementing a custody and demining operation that reopened this key maritime route, allowing commercial vessels to navigate without the danger of Iranian projectiles.
