The propaganda campaign orchestrated by jihadism against Israel and the Jews, launched on the same day as the Hamas terrorist attack on 10/7/23, has served as a foundation for wokism, a faithful ally of radical Islamism, to implement a persuasive and shameful proselytism against everything that the extreme left hates
On this occasion, Argentinians have found themselves added to the list of unexpected victims of the agents of chaos. Taking advantage of the spectacle of football, the aggression has partly focused on the figure of Lionel Messi, a person whose behavior is usually measured and humble, qualities that the henchmen of the new woke communism abhor, since "people skills," civility, or social intelligence are not virtues they typically practice.
According to messages launched into cyberspace, Argentinians would be racist, have exterminated the Afro-descendant population, play dirty; they are accused of being a "Nazi," "colonial," "Zionist," and "genocidal" country. Messi has gone from genius to scoundrel. The truth is inverted, and Argentinians are accused of everything opposite to the reality of their pluralistic and open idiosyncrasy.
European parliamentarian Jonathan Sacks said: "The hatred that begins with the Jews never ends with the Jews." The aggression on social media against Argentinians is further proof of this; and historical examples abound: the Nazis targeted the Jews, but also enslaved Poles, French, and Russians, exterminated homosexuals and gypsies. The Inquisition was against "heretics," but they also burned supposed witches, homosexuals, disabled individuals, adversaries, and rebels at the stake.
Social media infested with trolls, hackers, and digital mobilization systems tirelessly repeat slogans of influence. The human brain absorbs the effects of an "illusory truth": the more times we see a statement, the more familiar it becomes. That familiarity incites us to perceive it as more credible, even if there is no evidence to support it.
The army of activists on social media takes details of reality, places them out of context, and launches their poison. From then on, the system supports them: algorithms reward content that generates more interaction, even if it is not the most accurate. If the same message is repeated hundreds of times, our brain begins to feel it as a possible truth.
Members of this troop of well-paid individuals and systems inundate us with messages that demonize Israel, while terrorist groups are portrayed as heroic protagonists of the just cause of "resistance"; in the same way, they spread messages that attempt to portray Argentinians as liars, cheaters, frauds, and dishonest. Joseph Goebbels said: "A lie repeated a thousand times becomes the truth."
