The National Human Rights Institution increased its budget. Uruguayans keep paying for the scam of the disappeared

The Uruguayan state, that is, all the taxpayers who pay taxes, continues to finance a Machiavellian machinery of waste and squandering.

The ultra-radical left, full of hatred and vengeance, continues to talk about the so-called "disappeared," a macabre business that costs Uruguayan citizens several million dollars every year.

Under the lie that it is necessary to "find the disappeared," the Uruguayan political caste, especially the ultra-left, wastes citizens' money on an absurd search for bones that doesn't make any sense.

The "disappeared" have been dead for decades, and wasting everyone's money on this search is absurd.

Total squandering

Meanwhile, they suffocate Uruguayans with new taxes, more regulations, and tax increases, they squander millions of dollars annually on a macabre business that doesn't provide any benefit to Uruguayan society.

The state body that is in charge of this monumental scam is the National Human Rights Institution, which operates in Montevideo on Boulevard Artigas near Palmar.

In that place, until 2011, CALEN (Centro de Altos Estudios Nacionales), which belonged to the Ministry of Defense, operated.

It was a splendid academic center where civilians and military personnel could take, at no cost, a fabulous national strategy course.

Brilliant professors, both civilian and military, offered a very comprehensive course that addressed all national problems.

In 2012, under the government of former Tupamaro terrorist José Mujica, the National Human Rights Institution was established in that place.

Those who have directed this institution have been failed politicians or false defenders of human rights, who receive fabulous salaries paid with everyone's taxes.

More scam, more budget

The Uruguayan Senate approved on Tuesday, February 10, a 15% increase in the budget for this institution, supported by Frente Amplio and sectors of Partido Colorado.

The additional funds are supposedly crucial for the continuity of the search for "detained disappeared."

It must be kept in mind that almost all the disappeared who exist in Uruguay, about 32, were former guerrillas who attacked democracy and freedom. They committed very serious violent crimes, such as homicides and torture, and they died in clashes with the security forces.

However, now in 2026, taxpayers continue to pay taxes to pay the relatives of these disappeared former terrorists.

Total squandering, and a lack of respect for taxpayers.
