Lula challenged Trump and Milei by stating that "as long as I live, the far-right will not govern again" and dared them with a "if you want to come, then come"

While the socialist dictator focuses on personal attacks—going so far as to label Flávio Bolsonaro a “traitor to the homeland” and dismissing Javier Milei's visits to the country as “a joke”—the economic reality of Brazil under his management is catastrophic. The data is compelling and shows a country in decline:

The GDP growth has plummeted to a meager 2% for this election year, far from the 3.4% expected for 2024.

This financial debacle is compounded by the shadow of corruption that once again looms over Lula's inner circle. Recently, the Supreme Court authorized investigations against his eldest son, Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, known as “Lulinha”, for alleged influence peddling before the Ministry of Health. Despite these scandals, the president had the cynicism to claim that he is the “only candidate who does not have to lie”.

The battle for the future of Brazil is now being fought between the continuation of the socialist model and the hope represented by Flávio Bolsonaro, the political heir of 45 years who seeks to restore greatness to the South American giant.

According to the latest polls from Datafolha, the difference is minimal: Lula would obtain 48% compared to a solid 43% for Flávio Bolsonaro, demonstrating that almost half the country rejects the current authoritarian course. With the support of international figures like Trump and Milei, the Brazilian right is preparing to deliver the definitive battle against a regime that, in the words of Lula himself, is willing to do anything to hold on to power.

In a display of arrogance reminiscent of the worst years of Latin American populism, the dictator socialist Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has decided to formally challenge the regional democratic order by running for a non-consecutive fourth term.

During a massive event at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, the veteran leader, aged 80, made it clear that his intention is not to govern, but to resist the advance of freedom forces led by Donald Trump and Javier Milei.

The most alarming focus of his speech was the declaration of direct war against the leaders of the United States and Argentina.

In a defiant tone, Lula declared: “As long as I live, the far-right will not govern this country again. If Trump and Milei want to come, let them come. I do not want help from abroad, only from the Brazilian people”.

This statement not only reflects a dangerous isolation but also an evident fear of the awakening of citizens who now see in Milei and Trump a model of prosperity free from state intervention.

The Lula regime seeks to consolidate itself through a power structure that no longer hides its radical intentions. The president warned that if he wins on October 4, there will be no room for dialogue: “I do not want a pacifist Lula. I want a tough Lula, who does what we have not finished doing”.

This threat of a “hard hand” occurs in a context of unprecedented political persecution, where the conservative leader Jair Bolsonaro remains disqualified and sentenced to 27 years of house arrest for an alleged coup attempt, a maneuver that the opposition denounces as a political use of justice to pave the way for the PT.
