Oklahoma City Thunder's 132-111 victory against Washington Wizards was overshadowed by a violent fight that resulted in four expulsions and a chaotic scene that reached the front row, even with a cameraman involved.

The conflict broke out with less than 30 seconds left until halftime, when Jaylin Williams and Justin Champagnie crossed the line. The argument quickly escalated and brought other players together until it turned into widespread turmoil

.

The situation overflowed with the intervention of Ajay Mitchell, who raised tension and led to pushes and struggles. In the midst of the chaos, several protagonists fell on the audience and a TV operator was left below the group, which even forced the transmission to be interrupted for

a moment.

After the game, referee John Goble explained the sanctions: Williams and Champagnie were expelled for double technical fault, while Mitchell and Cason Wallace also saw the red one "for not having been pacifiers and aggravating the fight”

.

On the other hand, despite his participation, Anthony Gill was not punished. “It was observed that Wallace pushed Gill into the fight and, after falling to the ground, he was not perceived to take any unsportsmanlike action,” the judge said

.

The arbitration decisions generated discomfort on the Thunder side. Coach Mark Daigneault was critical after talking to the judges: “I disagreed with their judgment after talking to them and seeing the images at halftime.” Along the same lines, the player Isaiah Hartenstein considered that the sanctions were excessive, although he called for reliance on arbitral

judgment.

Beyond the altercation, OKC resolved the game in the third quarter with a 13-0 run that ended up breaking the match. With its resounding victory, the Oklahoma team consolidates itself as the best team not only in the Western Conference, but also in the current NBA season with a record of 56 wins and 15 losses. For their part, the Wizards are still in the background of the Eastern Conference with a balance of 16-54
