The governor of Mendoza participated in Argentina Week with President Javier Milei and highlighted the growing global interest in investing in the province, especially in mining, energy and infrastructure.

The governor of Mendoza, Argentina, Alfredo Cornejo, finalized his work schedule in New York after participating in Argentina Week, an event that brought together global investors, international banks and national authorities to present investment opportunities in the country.

The event was attended by President Javier Milei, who presented to businessmen and investment funds the economic reforms promoted by the national government and the new direction of economic opening that Argentina seeks to consolidate.

During the week, the Mendoza delegation held multiple meetings with international financial actors to present strategic projects for the province and reinforce its position as a reliable investment destination.

Meetings with banks and global companies

The Mendoza delegation included the Minister of Energy and Environment, Jimena Latorre; the executive director of Impulsa Mendoza, Sebastián Piña; and the

national legislator Lisandro Nieri.

During the official mission, they held meetings with important financial institutions and international companies, including:

  • Morgan Stanley

  • Deutsche Bank

  • First Quantum Minerals

The meetings were aimed at analyzing investment opportunities in key sectors such as mining, energy, tourism and infrastructure

“They recognized Mendoza as a province that has done things well.”

In

taking stock of the mission, Cornejo said that the province managed to position itself positively

with international investors.

As explained by the president, several meetings recognized the institutional and fiscal path that Mendoza has taken in recent years.

“Mendoza was able to show its potential, its economy, its changes and the projects we are developing in the areas of tourism, mining and oil,” said the governor.

In addition, he highlighted that different financial actors see the province as a reliable place to develop productive projects.

Legal security and institutional stability

One of the aspects most valued by international investors was the institutional stability of the province.

Cornejo stressed that maintaining clear rules and predictability is essential to attract long-term investments.

“This recognition is a brand that Mendoza should not lose and that must continue over time,” said the governor.

The province maintains that this position is key to promoting new investments in strategic sectors and strengthening regional economic development.

Mendoza's potential as a regional hub

During the meetings, the Mendoza authorities also highlighted the province's potential to become a logistics and financial hub for the Andean

region.

In this regard, investment opportunities were presented linked to:

  • mining

  • energy

  • logistics development

  • tourism

  • financial services

The strategy aims to take advantage of Mendoza's competitive advantages to attract international capital and consolidate

new industries.

Argentina's new economic direction

Cornejo also noted that the presence of national authorities allowed us to show the country's new economic context

As he explained, international investors value the reforms promoted by the Milei government, aimed at generating greater macroeconomic stability and predictability for businesses.

“International investors appreciate that Argentina is returning to a path of integration into the world,” said the governor.

A long-term strategy to attract investment

The Mendoza authorities pointed out that participation in Argentina Week is part of an international positioning strategy that seeks to consolidate

over time.

The objective is to maintain a presence in the world's main financial centers to present productive projects and strengthen ties with global investors.

Within this framework, Mendoza seeks to consolidate itself as one of the Argentine provinces with the greatest potential to attract investment in strategic sectors.
