The president of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, ignited a new regional controversy after denouncing an alleged incursion by Colombian guerrilla fighters on the northern border, which he directly linked to the government of Gustavo Petro.

Through a public message, the Ecuadorian president assured that several sources confirmed the entry of armed groups from Colombian territory, which generated an immediate reaction at the political level.
