Franco Colapinto regretted his result at the Japanese Grand Prix: 'We were there to fight for the points'
“I made a really good start, I advanced, I passed Gaby (Bortoleto), I missed a couple, we fought hard,” said the Argentinian.

However, their progress was quickly slowed down on the track. “I was stuck there behind Lawson. I was going faster, but I couldn't do much,” he explained.

“Seeing how he ended up and that the pace we had, which was better than his, it's a shame because we were there to fight his points,” he said.

The general analysis did not escape self-criticism or the adverse context: “I think in general it was another race that put a lot of pressure on us in the Safety Car”. “The next one, fortunately, there is a break to understand a couple of things. To improve on what we think we lack,” he added.

In that regard, the young driver also marked one of the key points to work on within the team, especially compared to his teammate Pierre Gasly: "There are many areas to understand. Understand why it's having a hard time and why there's a difference with Pierre Grande at certain times of the weekend.”
