The German government led by Chancellor Friedrich Merz is financing a national campaign under the slogan "Muslims: A Part of You!", as part of the Action Weeks Against Anti-Muslim Racism, an initiative coordinated by the organization CLAIM and supported with approximately 624,997 euros from the Federal Ministry of Family.

The campaign includes advertising posters, exhibitions, conferences, educational programs, and public activities in various cities across the country. This campaign has been perceived as propaganda by a sector of German society that is witnessing an Islamic invasion in their country.

According to CLAIM, the goal of the program is to combat discrimination against Muslims, document cases of anti-Muslim racism, and promote coexistence in a diverse society. The organization coordinates the action weeks each year around the International Day Against Islamophobia and develops projects funded by both the federal government and other public institutions.

However, the funding has generated criticism from various sectors of the population and some German media. The concerns focus on the fact that CLAIM has taken over part of the structures of the former CLAIM Alliance, a network of more than 50 organizations that was dissolved in 2025 to reorganize its activities.

Some critics argue that among the organizations that were part of that former alliance were entities mentioned in reports by German intelligence services for alleged links to currents of political Islam.

Furthermore, this campaign highlights the disconnect of the German establishment from a population that is exhausted by the problems caused by Islamic immigrants within the country. This is mainly reflected in the latest polls and elections where the right-wing party Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) manages to maintain the highest percentage of voters across Germany.

The controversy arises at a time when Merz's government maintains a more restrictive immigration policy, while simultaneously supporting programs aimed at normalizing the Islamic invasion in Germany. While its supporters argue that the campaign seeks to protect religious freedom, its detractors question the use of public funds and demand greater scrutiny over the beneficiary organizations and their backgrounds.
