The

United Arab Emirates came under attack again. This Tuesday, its air defense systems were activated in multiple regions to intercept ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones launched from Iran, in a new episode that calls into question the real validity of the ceasefire in the

region.

As reported by the Emirati Ministry of Defense, the sounds of explosions that were heard in different areas of the country correspond to the interceptions in progress.

“Air defenses are facing missile and drone attacks from Iran,” they officially said.

So far, no significant casualties or material damage have been reported.

A coordinated attack in full truce

Security sources indicated that anti-aircraft systems were activated at several strategic points, suggesting a coordinated or simultaneous attack

from different vectors.

The episode comes just one day after another Iranian offensive: on Monday, the Emirates intercepted 15 missiles and four drones, in an attack that left three injured and forced the population to issue mass alerts.

The repetition of attacks in less than 48 hours exposes the growing fragility of the truce between Washington and Tehran

.

Escalation in a key area for global energy

Tension is not limited to Emirati territory. In parallel, Abu Dhabi reported a drone attack against a vessel linked to its state oil company while sailing through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the most important energy routes

in the world.

Since the beginning of the conflict, the Emirates claims to have intercepted:

  • 549 ballistic missiles

  • 29 cruise missiles

  • 2,260 drones

The cumulative balance leaves at least 13 dead and

more than 200 injured.

Iran denies and tension is growing

Iran, for its part, did not officially recognize the attacks. A military source quoted by state media said that Tehran had no “previous plans” against the Emirates, amid conflicting versions

.

However, the continuity of the offensives reinforces the perception of a sustained escalation.

A conflict that could be reactivated

The Emirati Government warned that it reserves the right to respond, while several Gulf countries expressed

their support.

It all happens in parallel with the US military deployment in the region, within the framework of the so-called “Freedom Project”, aimed at protecting commercial traffic in Hormuz.

The repetition of attacks, despite the ceasefire, fuels fear of an open resumption of the conflict in one of the most sensitive areas for the global economy.
