The AFA Disciplinary Tribunal has already signed the resolution regarding the complaint filed by Vélez Sarsfield against Boca Juniors and decided to maintain the result of the match. Thus, the “Xeneize” will keep its qualification in the Copa Argentina and will face Racing as the next opponent.
Vélez's presentation was related to the inclusion in the roster of certain Boca players who ultimately did not enter the field of play. After analyzing the case, the disciplinary body considered that this situation did not alter the conditions of competition during the match.
Boca will not lose the match against Vélez
The decision of the Disciplinary Tribunal establishes that Boca will not be sanctioned with the loss of the match. Therefore, the result recorded on the field remains unchanged and the qualification of the team led by the “Xeneize” in the tournament is upheld.
The adopted criterion was that the presence of the players on the roster, since they did not participate in the match, did not disrupt the sporting fairness nor generated sufficient reasons to alter the score.
