Boca Juniors officially announced the arrival of its first reinforcement of the transfer market. It is Leandro Lozano, a 27-year-old Uruguayan right-back, who left Argentinos Juniors to join the squad led by Rodolfo Arruabarrena and has already participated in his first practice with his new teammates.

The xeneize management reached an agreement with Argentinos for the purchase of 100% of the defender's rights in exchange for 3.5 million dollars net, an investment that reflects the club's intention to strengthen a position considered a priority.

After passing the medical examination on Monday, Lozano had to wait for the resolution of some administrative procedures before signing his contract. Once that process was completed, the player was cleared to join training and begin his adaptation to the squad.

The full-back arrives with the expectation of quickly becoming an important piece within the team, in a sector where Boca seeks to regain solidity and competition.

The arrival of the former Argentinos responds to a concrete need of the coaching staff. The right-back no longer had a fixed owner since Luis Advíncula's drop in performance during the last season.

In that context, Boca decided to part ways with Juan Barinaga and Marcelo Weigandt, which is why Lozano appears as the main candidate to secure the starting position from the outset.
