The internal climate at Racing continues to be marked by tension. In recent hours, a video featuring Diego Milito emerged, in which the president of the "Academy" addressed the criticisms his management faces and made a strong defense of the project he leads.

The images were recorded before the match Racing played in San Luis against Belgrano, in the round of 16 of the Copa Argentina. On that occasion, the Avellaneda team won 1-0 and advanced to the next stage.

In front of a small group of close associates, Milito delivered an emotional speech and directly targeted those who, in his view, seek to harm him through the media.

Milito questioned the criticisms of his management

The president of Racing referred to the criticisms he receives and stated that behind them there would be operations aimed at undermining his leadership.

“That's why they throw us down, that's why they kill me, that's why they pay journalists. The stadium falls and it's not normal. We already know who we're dealing with, I’ve known since day one,” Milito affirmed during his speech.

The former striker also emphasized that his project needs time to consolidate and suggested that the transformation he aims to implement at Racing does not solely depend on immediate sports results.

“I knew it wouldn't be easy because the change is cultural and we are going to think long-term. In that long term, are we going to win? We are going to win, but we need to be united and convinced,” he stated.

Milito also took the opportunity to explain what motivates him as a leader and assured that his goal transcends holding the presidency of Racing.

“I repeat, I am not here for a position. With all due respect, I don't care about the position. It is an honor to be president of Racing, but the most important thing is the mission I am on, which is to leave something behind,” he expressed.

The former footballer closed his speech with a message directed at those who support his project and reaffirmed his commitment to the club.

“I’ve worked my ass off my whole life, I don’t need anything, but I want to leave something active. That’s why I got involved, I’m going to achieve it, and I need you all. We are going to win tonight,” he concluded.
