The arc of River will have one more certainty looking ahead to the upcoming seasons. While in Núñez they remain attentive to the future of Santiago Beltrán and the interest he has generated from various European clubs, Ezequiel Centurión has reached an agreement to extend his contract with the institution and will remain in the professional squad until December 2029.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper only had a contract until the end of this year and his stay was not yet guaranteed. However, his willingness to stay and fight for a place and the club's interest in having an alternative in the position ultimately tipped the scales.
Ezequiel Centurión renews with River until the end of 2029
Centurión had returned to River at the beginning of 2026 after his loan at Independiente Rivadavia, where he had a notable stint. With the Mendoza team, he was champion of the Copa Argentina 2025 and showed good performance until he suffered a wrist fracture in the last months of the year.
The goalkeeper had returned with the expectation of competing for the position left by Franco Armani, but the injury sidelined him at the start of the season. When he managed to recover, Santiago Beltrán had already established himself in goal thanks to his performances. As a result, Centurión has not played matches with the first team this year and only added three matches with the Reserve after his recovery.

Throughout his two stints with the Millonario jersey (mid-2022 to mid-2024 and early 2026 to the present), the native of Cipoletti played 945 minutes, spread over 11 matches, of which he was unbeaten in 5, while in the rest he conceded 11 goals. He also received a yellow card twice and a direct red once. In terms of titles, he won 3: Liga Profesional 2023, Trofeo de Campeones 2023, and Supercopa Argentina 2023.
