Fede Bal surprised everyone by once again discussing his controversial separation from Barbie Vélez. The actor, who is currently dating Evelyn Botto, opened up during a conversation on the Blender program with José María Listorti.

He acknowledged that it was a very complicated relationship, but assured that he managed to overcome it thanks to therapy and the support of his closest friends.

When asked about the accusations of gender violence he faced at the time, Bal was clear and emphatic. He explained that he always preferred to resolve everything in court rather than in the media.

The actor's firm stance

“When you go with the truth…,” said the actor, adding that he noted all the statements to address them where they belonged: in front of a judge and with lawyers. He emphasized that legal matters are not resolved in a television studio.

Barbie Velez and Federico BalBal recalled that both filed cross-complaints and that, over time, he ended up in a better position. “Time proved me right,” he maintained.

Additionally, he drew a distinction with other cases in the entertainment industry. He referred to the attitude of staying in the country and facing the situation if one is confident of their innocence, in contrast to those who choose to leave. He emphasized that a good person does not run away and faces things head-on.

The scandal erupted in 2016 when Barbie Vélez accused Fede Bal of aggravated injuries and gender violence. He responded with a countersuit for injuries, damage to his apartment, and threats.

Finally, in 2017 the judge dismissed both cases and closed the matter. Bal clarified that he does not usually talk about the subject, but he does not mind addressing it when it comes up.
