In addition to the final result, one of the most notable aspects was that Colapinto surpassed his teammate Pierre Gasly in all the important instances of the Canadian Grand Prix, despite starting Friday with complications. An electrical problem prevented him from participating in the initial free practice, although that did not affect his subsequent performance.
